Miracle's Natural Beauty

Miracle's Natural Beauty is a mare born in 2009. Her name combines the names of her sire Miracle Man and her dam Natural Innocense. She and Surfer's Riptide are the only two from their buyback group to live to adulthood. They weren't kept at the Carnival Grounds during the winter and other 4 fillies of their year died during the rough 2009/2010 winter on Assateague. She's a full sister to the recently featured Wildest Dreams and is the last foal of their dam. The pair of sisters stayed together for several years while they were young, getting up to mischief a few times. Beauty's had four foals kept for the herd; Marguerite of Chincoteague, the short lived Azure, MissMe, and CLG Rider on the Storm.

Like both of her parents, Beauty is a bay. It definitely appears she has two copies of bay and two of black because all of her 12 foals are bay (or bay based).

Thanks to her dam being solid she only has one copy of tobiano. She's also had two non-pinto foals, including her stallion son CLG Rider on the Storm.

There's been a blue eye or two in her foals and family. Her daughter Azure had two blue eyes. At this point we don't know why. Like I talked about in the post about Wildest Dreams, one of Miracle Man's daughters tested to have Eden White 3 and it can cause blue eyes. Maybe that's why, time will tell.

Beauty's a much lighter shade of bay than her sister Wildest Dreams. We don't know why this happens and if it's genetic or not. Something for the future to find out!
