White ticking is a scattering of white hairs on the coat of the pony. The hairs are on the flank and can extend over the body and almost always have a white tailhead known as a skunk tail. White striping over the ribs is often seen.
Rabicano (RB), also known as rabicano roan, is a type of white ticking. Rabicano is seen in Arabians, Mustangs, and Quarter Horses which have been crossed into the Chincoteague Pony.
