Belton spots are colored spots on a horse's white markings found primarily on the legs and face. They are unrelated to cat tracks on tobianos. Belton spots are a type of occluding spot. They have been found to be genetic in some way.
There are a couple of Chincoteague families that appear to have belton spots as multiple family members have them.
