Palomino foals are usually born obviously palomino having the characteristic gold colored body with white mane and tail. Occasionally palominos are born an odd pink or orange color that eventually sheds to a normal palomino. Palominos can also be born with their mane and tail a palomino color that lightens to white/cream as the pony grows up.
